In-House Booster Baseball

Overview of boys baseball programs

NOTICE: All In-House programs use CURRENT GRADE (as of spring of each season) for program eligibility.  Click here to jump to grade/league chart.

In-House Program Overview

  • Boys from Pre-K (Player will be entering Kindergarten in the Fall) through 8th grade are eligible for this program
  • Focus is on on teaching the game of baseball, skill development, hard work, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
  • Like all Booster programs, it is designed to develop the total individual, not just the athlete. The In-House Program emphasized equal playing time for all participants.
  • Time commitment is generally two nights per week from mid-May to mid-July.  Requirements are lighter during week of Memorial Day & 4th of July.
  • The In-House Major League is a hybrid between the In-House and Traveling programs.  Games are played against other Hudson teams, and teams from River Falls, Somerset, New Richmond, Hammond (St. Croix Central), and Prescott.

In-House Eligibility Requirements

  • The Hudson Booster Program is for children living in or going to a school in the Hudson School District.
  • Players may not be a member of another baseball team whose games and/or practices would conflict with the Hudson Booster Program. This does not include school teams.
  • Requests for car-pooling and playing with others will be considered through the 2nd grade, but there is no guarantee that they will be granted.
  • We will attempt to put all players who have registered onto a team, however, there is no guarantee of participating in an In-House program if registration is received after April 15th

Additional Opportunities for Development

Weekend Tournament Teams

  • The Hudson Boosters also offers the opportunity for its 3rd through 6th grade players to join rec tournament teams. These teams provide the experience of playing other communities in a tournament atmosphere.
  • The tournament teams provide a great opportunity for players who are just interested in additional competition, as well as those who want to consider trying-out for the Traveling teams in future seasons.
  • They involve additional practices and playing in a minimum of two weekend tournaments.
  • Player must be participating in the In House Junior League or Senior League Program to be considered for a Tournament Team.
  • Click here for more information on our 2019 in-house tournaments.

In House Select Teams
The In House Junior League and Major League offer the opportunity for players in those leagues to play in advanced tournaments.  Members on these teams must go through the Hudson Booster evaluation process.

Eligibility for these teams is based on both Age and Program.  For age,  players in their respective age groups must not reach the next age before May 1, of the current year.  For example, to be eligible for the 13 yr old select team, you cannot turn 14 prior to May 1st.

There is an increased fee for these teams because of jersey style and tournament entry fees.

9-Select team
Players must be 9 yrs old and be a member of the Junior League.
Proof of grade is required at the try outs.

13 and 14 Select teams
Players must be 13 or 14 and be a member of the Major League
