 Full refunds will be granted for registrants who leave the program up until August 16th .  A 50% refund will be granted between team selection night and first game.  No refund will be granted after the first game.


NEW - 1st/2nd Grade FLAG FOOTBALL

TIMES - Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30  

SEASON - Aug 19th - Oct 2nd

LOCATION - Hudson Booster Football Fields - Just south of Middle School and north of the Grandview Castle Park.

This enhanced flag football will be a 7 on 7 format with 2 linemen having hand shields that work as blockers to protect the quarterback from having his flag pulled. These blockers will be focusing on footwork, keeping themselves between the quarterback and the defense. The hand shield makes them wider and harder to get around. This system provides a more realistic football experience and allows for the teaching of more skills, more opportunities for different types of plays, and more positions to play. All of this will directly translate to the next level of football for 3rd-6th grades. 

Experienced Flag Football coaches who were involved in a trial program had this to say:

6th grade players only

TRAVELING FOOTBALL

This year we are going to form a 6th grade traveling team. This team will play in the Metro East Youth Football League. This will be in addition to playing on a 5th and 6th grade in-house team. 

*** Players MUST play in-house to be eligible for the traveling team***

An additional cost of $125 will be charged for the traveling season.

  • Practices times will vary and will include weekends. See Schedule for dates and times
  • Games times and locations will very and will include weekends - Schedule will not be known until just before our first potential game date, Sat Aug 23th
  • Games are organized and governed by the rules of the https://www.meyfl.org/
  • Games are played at fields throughout the Eastern Metro Area.
  • Transportation to and from the games is NOT provided by the Boosters. Players will be responsible for their own transportation. 
  • Players will be selected from those interested in playing, after regular evaluations are completed.

If you are at all  interested, please check the box indicating that interest during the registration process. This is not a guarantee your player will be selected, and is not a commitment to play, this is letting us know to consider your player during the traveling team selection process. 

*** Players selected to participate in the 6th grade traveling team will be notified and required to complete a separate registration 


Location:

Boosters football fields and equipment shed are located just south of the middle school and just north of the castle park. Limited parking is available near the school, more parking is available at the castle park.
